Exam Fever University Style

I've been meaning to write a post for the month at the least but it never happened until now. Well, my "excuse" is that this past one month has been the most hectic period since I started my 1st ever semester in the university. It has been cramped up with tests, presentations, more tests, assignments, write-ups... the whole lot. You just name it.

Right now, I'm in the midst of having my university exams which happens at the end of the semester. Yup, good news and bad news here. Good news is that it's the end of the semester. Bad news would be the horrible phase of exam that the whole university student body, including I, myself are going through.

I've been through a lot of exams in my entire life. I mean, who has not right? There's always something new to experience and this is my 1st university experience. So far, it has been okay for me... I'm trying to stay afloat. Not all too well but God is good!

It's difficult to study for university exams. Yes, difficult! There are no key answers to past year papers, there are no spoon-fed notes like what we have in high school, only limited help and resources available. It's a little overwhelming at times. I've been spending a lot of my hours in the university library, reading up on my modules' materials, searching for better information from the books (can I tell you that I still suck at finding suitable books in the library? Sucking at finding my course related books takes up even more time!) and trying very hard to just study and revise.

Now I know how hard it is to prepare for a university exam. But then again, I just have to muster up all my courage and brace through this week and I'll be done for the semester. I can't wait for the holiday.

However, before I start drooling and pining on my coming holidays, I must continue to strive and carry on with my revisions (eeeeeeeessssshhhh~~ I hate studying!!). Coming here for a post is just an excuse to procrastinate my revisions. Heh... I'm a bad example - do not learn this from me!

The above cartoon speaks right through me. This is just too true... for me that is. Hahaha.. just something more entertaining than my writings at the top.

4 more days to go and I'm done (for the 1st semester that is :P),

Still in the midst of exams

I haven't have much time these days to come online much. It seems like a long time since I logged into Facebook, my e-mail and all. Wow. There's so many things to look into. Well, I'm just here for a short post to show that I'm still alive and that the exams haven't actually killed me just yet.

This week is a free week for me as I don't have any papers to sit for this week, however, the revisions are never ending. It seems like there's always so much to revise and to look through. Is it my lack of confidence or is it just me progressing a little too slow? I'm at the stage where I feel like giving up but I can't give up. Haha.. if that actually makes sense. Preparing for my papers is very tiring. Even when I sleep, I dream about my revisions, my teachers or my class. Then when I wake up, I felt like I haven't had any rest at all. These kind of dreams happen to me once in a while but those dreams have been occurring frequently these days, it's horrible.

Other than studying and preparing for exam, I'm just trying to live each day as productive as possible. Of course there will be some days which I cheat and that results in me regretting not being more productive and useful during the course of the day. Oh well, it's not like I can turn back the time or something. So, I remind myself to BE PRODUCTIVE every single day.

On a lighter note, do you still remember one of my previous post about Eia? Well, Eia is releasing her DEBUT SINGLE, "Hello World" on iTunes tomorrow! Be sure to go buy her single and show your support! Spread the love, Share the music.

Exam Fever

And so... the exam fever has finally hit me (and all the other people who are preparing for their exams). Panic, anxiety, stress, lack of sleep, worries.. what more to add to my list? I really do pray and hope that all will be well for me this exam. No anxiety attacks and all during my exams and all. These days, I'm starting to feel the stress of the exam which is kind of good as it pushed me to study even harder.

I'll still be updating this little blog of mine if I have the time in the midst of exam. I wish all the exam students the very best for their exam! Study hard and study smart. ;)

Good luck!

3rd last day of school

I would always wonder how time flies. Don't you? It goes past so fast that you can't help but wonder what happened to the extra time you thought you had. Today is the 3rd last day of my A Level schooling. It scares me somehow, knowing that with me finishing with school, it would be the start of the BIG FINALS! I mean, it was not very long ago that I just entered into a new school, new environment and now, I'm getting ready to leave.

Well, some classes of mine have been the very last today due to some events happening tomorrow and on Saturday. It has been a bittersweet feeling, parting with the friends you've made, the teachers you've known and the attachment to certain places that we frequently hang out in school and all.

Somehow, this 2 years of school life will leave with me as a part of my "crazy teenage" memories. I hope that one day I'll be able to look back at these days in the future with a smile even though A Level is a really tough one to get through.

Persevere and endure.

Happy Teachers' Day 2012

In Brunei, Teachers' Day falls on the 23rd of September every year which coincides with the birthday of the 28th Sultan of Brunei. Hopefully, it's not too late to wish all the teachers of the world a HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!

I'm rather blessed to have met many good and wonderful teachers during all my studying years. Many of which I will remember for as long as I live. That's how great you are to me, teachers. Teaching is a noble job. It takes patience, love, commitment, perseverance  and passion! It might sound cliche but without teachers, I really would be nothing and I would not be where I am today, finishing my last year of A Level.

I've been schooling for 15 years of my life and each teacher plays a different role to me.

Kindergarten teachers have taught me to spell and count and to read and write, also to sing and dance.

Primary school teachers have taught me the many lessons and skills that are needed to lay the foundation for the years of education ahead after primary school.

Secondary school teachers have taught me uncountable school and life lessons. Other than the normal school stuff, they have taught me that it's okay to make life mistakes while we're young and if we fall down, we have to learn to get up again. To never give up when we stumble and fall.

College teachers have taught me all the further education needed to prepare myself for the university life ahead. They have encouraged me, directly and indirectly, on and on to not give up and to continue press on when I feel discouraged during my 2 years of A Level.

School life has been a challenging road to travel but with the help of teachers, they make it easier for us, students, to keep walking on. I appreciate my teachers and you should too because they are the people, other than your parents, to mould your being and to guide you to the right path. Also not forgetting my ECA teachers, like my piano teacher, my ex-English mentor/teacher, my Sunday School teachers and my Bible Class teachers, you guys are great and I thank you for your tutelage.

So, a BIG THANK YOU to my teachers for being there and HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY! May all of you continue to share your wisdom and passion to the many generations after.

Thank you, teachers.

My Panic Issues

So, I have finished my mock exams already. Guess what? I think that this A Level mock exams are like one of the worst experience ever. I don't know if I'm just plain stupid or whatever I am, I can never seem to do as well as how others expect me to. I just always fall short. I get nervous breakdowns.. note the "s", which means I have had multiple panic attack each exam. Let me tell you what. PANIC ATTACK SUCKS!

I've clearly revised and study for my exams by reviewing notes and doing past years' exam papers. I thought that I remembered many facts that I needed for my exam but just when I set foot into the exam hall, I start to get all nervous, sweaty and scared. It all settles down just as I'm prepared to start writing and such. However, just when I opened the question paper  after being told to do so, the panic attack starts again. Oh boy, what I memorised and remembered then goes down the drain. What is this?! My panic attacks makes my mind goes blank and makes me forget EVERYTHING!

While many of my school peers are still having their mock exams (due to different subjects on different days, mine finished earlier), I'm excused from school. Being not having school today, I still went back to school to amend my exam schedule for my final exam next couple of months and I took some time to go meet my sociology teacher. My sociology teacher is one of the BEST TEACHER I've ever have! Seriously, he's the one who encourages me and gives me some hope even when all seems dark with my studies. He knew about my panic issues since last year's finals and he told me to calm down (in a very nice and gentle way, of course).

When I met him this morning, he asked me if my panic attacks happened again. He said that my AS sociology results does no justice to what I've done and revised. Well, I do take some pride off my assignments which I've always tried my best at it and it always got me good homework grades. :) He assumed that I panicked just before the exam (which I clearly did before, during and after the exam ><). After some chatting while I met up with him this morning, he told me to try to fix my panic issues because it's clearly affecting my studies and my results. He also told me that with some good revision and no panic attacks, I'll do good in all my future exams. Thank you for reassuring me! :)

I can't seem to understand why I get these panic attacks either. I tried not to let it happen but it just always happens and I always felt like it's the end of the world after the exam. Sigh.. I need a remedy for this. Maybe it's just my personality or it could well be my psychological thinking? I don't really know. But what I know is that having nervous breakdowns sucks and it feels like I've died a little inside.

Hopefully this problem of mine will be resolved very soon, because I'm having my finals in a month's time and i can't afford to lose out anymore. Also, I'm prepared to do very badly and maybe fail a couple of subjects for my mocks. This is just sad.. very sad. This totally sucks.. BIG TIME.

Trying to fix my freaking nervous breakdowns,
Hannah

My Inner Blues

Today has been one of the days where I'd feel so down and low, as though I can't climb back up the ladder after falling down from it into a deep pit. So much has happened today and there's so much thoughts within me... Disappointment? Relief? Sadness? Happiness? I have no idea how to actually describe what I'm feeling right now. All of these feelings have all mixed and rolled up into an ugly ball of feelings.

This morning, I started my mock exams (some would call it a qualifying exam). I had my MIB (Melayu Islam Beraja also known as the Malay Islamic Monarchy) paper this morning. This MIB paper is one of the paper that I dread so much because I had to write all of it in Malay and it's not really a secret anymore if you do actually read my blog. I guess it went well, I did my best for that paper, wrote as much as I was able to. The only part that I missed out doing was the Jawi (arabic words) part. I forgot all of my Jawi already since I stopped learning Jawi in Primary 6. So, hopefully, I won't fail this MIB paper and get a credit for it at least.

I went home after my MIB paper to do some last minute revision for my Sociology paper which was in the afternoon. There was so much to study that I tried to memorise as much as I could but I think I did it again. I kind of pushed my panic button <--- really guilty of that. Sorry Mr. Ess, I couldn't stop myself from panicking when I saw the questions on the paper. The entire duration for my Sociology paper was 3 hours long. The longest paper that I have ever sat for in my entire life. My bones were aching and I was getting restless from sitting down for so long. I felt so stiff but I couldn't move from my seat since it was an exam. I wrote as much as I knew after my panic attack where my mind went blank. It was a horrible 3 hours. 3 hours 3 essays. How great is that. =.=

After the Sociology mock exam was over, hand phones of the students started ringing here and there. All I could guess at that moment was," OH MY GOODNESS! THE JUNE AS RESULTS ARE OUT!". And.... I was right. It was still in the exam hall, mind you and I could hear shrieks and cries of the students. Out of joy or grief, I won't know since they're not my friends but I do suppose that one student actually scored a really good grade for sociology that her sociology teacher got so overwhelmed and cried on the spot. Congratulations to whoever you are! :)

I was, of course, scared and nervous while waiting and holding tight onto my phone. I registered for the results to come through my phone to me and it's one of the things that I hated. Every buzz that my phone makes, due to other notifications on my phone, makes my heart skip a beat and I would actually stop breathing for a moment. My results didn't actually came to me until a while after I got back home from the sociology exam.

Well, all I can say is that my results were what I expected or maybe a little better than what I expected since I actually thought that I was gonna fail one of the subject. BUT no, I didn't fail any. Praise the Lord! The results were mediocre and I told my parents about it. They weren't the happiest camper about it but at least I wasn't thrown into a hot, fiery furnace for not getting the results that they wanted. It was then I felt disappointed because I had disappointed my parents with my results since it wasn't what they wanted. I'm not the A kid, though I always wished that I was.

Even though I was a disappointed, a wave of relief hit me hard. I didn't fail anything and I manage to get all credits except for the one that I thought I would fail. My friends and I were twitter-raging the entire time after the results were out. Some were the happiest receiving such great results however, many of us were accepting the fact of our not-so-good results. Oh well, we can't change the ugly truth can we?

Oh boy, am I ever glad that I actually had such supportive friends like Lin and Sophia who encouraged me again and again, not to give up hope in achieving a better set of grades when I retake my papers again in October. Lin and Sophia are like my sisters from another mother. Though both of them do not know each other personally, I do still appreciate them and love them WITH ALL OF MY HEART! God bless you two girls. Haha!! This is when I realised that friends are just so important. "I would rather have 4 nickels than a 100 pennies." - as quoted from some person on twitter. Lin and Sophia were the perfect pick-me-up after a wholesome 2 hours of being depressed over my results. I wouldn't have come out of my "mini-depression" that quickly if not for them.

But again, I was relieved after all these waiting and anticipating for my results. I'm glad that this is over and done with. I'm thankful that mum and dad weren't as pissed as I thought they would be. I'm grateful for my parents who told me to work harder for the next retake exam instead of throwing me insults to let me fall deeper. I'm grateful for my friends who encouraged me to not give up and to keep pressing on. I wouldn't have gone far without any of them. Most of all, I'm thankful for God answering my prayers because only God knows the perfect solution to every of my problem, no matter how big or how small.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my FAVOURITE verse in the Bible. Whenever I'm feeling at a lost, I would always remember and think about this verse and then I'll be feeling a lot better after reading through this one verse. How God works in many ways to comfort and to heal one's soul.

This is such a wordy and a lengthy post but it totally describes a little bit of how I'm feeling at the moment. I hope that things will get better in time.

I'm singing my blues~

School Holidays and the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony

Oh wow. It's been long since I last posted something here. It's now school holiday for the students in Brunei right now. For me, it's supposedly to be a study break than a school holiday, however, I've been slacking quite some bit and I'm charged guilty for not studying hardcore enough. So far, what I've done for my revision has been just getting by. It's kind of hard for me because when I see other people around me having fun and the times of their lives during the holiday, the mood tends to sink into me and makes me feel so lazy. Fortunately, I have another week of holiday left to help me catch up on all my lost times I spent lazing around to revise and to study.

So, many things have happened during the course of my absence here. One of them for example is that the London 2012 Olympics has ended. Yup! It's been an eventful 3 weeks and also 3 weeks of not watching other TV channels except for the Olympics Sports channels. I enjoyed the whole thing of course. I woke up at 3.30 AM (due to time differences) this time to catch the closing ceremony. Oh boy, am I lucky not to have school in the morning since I'm on holiday already. The whole thing finished around 7 and I went back to bed and slept the whole morning until 12 PM. Haha! I was so exhausted after the whole thing. I can't wait for the Winter Olympics now that the Summer Olympics is over! :D

This time, the closing ceremony kind of fell a little short from what I expected it to be like. Maybe I've set a much higher expectations after the opening ceremony (thinking, saving the best for last!). The whole closing ceremony is like a concert FULL OF PEOPLE, only being held in the Olympics Stadium. Don't you think so? Only The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and Prince Harry graced the ceremony but, even so, I enjoyed watching the closing ceremony. I mean who gets to watch The Spice Girls, One Direction, Queen, Jessie J, Russell Brand and many other performers at 4 AM huh? I know a lot of people doesn't think much about One Direction, they talk bad about them and boycott their music but I hold neutral thoughts about them. I don't hate them nor am I a big fan of them. I like their music, it's pretty catchy. No hard feelings here. :)

Also, the SPICE GIRLS ARE BACK!! Woohoo! Some of you might be thinking, eh? This girl over here knows the Spice Girls? How old is she to even know them?! Well, let me tell you. I grew up with a group of relatives. Safer to say, my so-called "aunts" who's actually around my age. I was supposed to call them "ee-ee" (aunt in mandarin chinese) out of respect for the elders as us, the Chinese always place heavy emphasis on. But since we're all almost the same age, maybe a couple much more older, I skipped the honorifics since young. It's a bad habit I know and young kids should not imitate. Okay, back to the topic, my older aunts spent their teenage years watching MTV and we, the much younger kids, spent our free time watching MTV together with them, much to the displeasure of the parents and elders at home. My aunts taught us to sing songs from Backstreet Boys, the Spice Girls, S-Club 7 and more. Yeah, that's where I got all my knowledge of the 90's pop groups.

Anyways, Spice Girls were really AWESOME back there at the closing ceremony! I mean, who gets to still sing and perform together as a group since the group's break-up until their last performance together in 2008 and they still look the same! Oh boy, I was much more awake after their performance. I have always liked Victoria Beckham, the Posh Spice, because she's just so gorgeous and she looks amazing at the closing ceremony. You might say that I'm biased but her dress was fabulous! ;)

I spent my waking hours nowadays trying my best to focus and study but, I usually get bored of studying and get side-tracked. I'm scared and anxious for what is yet to come. No matter how much I study, I will always feel unprepared. I suffer minor nervous breakdowns during exams and it totally sucked BIG TIME! When I do get my nervous breakdowns, my mind goes entirely blank and it gets hard for me to breathe. I tend to shiver or shake a lot. Sometimes, I go all pale in the face and the teachers would be coming and asking if I was okay. That, I need to work on it. I need to overcome my exam fears. One more week to make up for it and that's it. Hopefully, all will go well in the end.

I pray and hope,

Hannah :)

Meow

I'm back after almost a week of no posts. Today, I can finally take a breather off school and tuition but not for my assignments though. Even if it's a no school day, there's still tuition and assignments. However, my tuition class has been cancelled today due to certain reasons. Yay!! No tuition = a happy girl. :D

It's the first week of the Fasting Month timetable at school. We start school later than usual, classes are shorter and we end classes earlier too. It's a nice timetable as it's a shorter and a more relaxed one to help ease the teachers, staffs and students who are fasting. With the shorter classes and all, there's not much time to do everything in class now so, there's more homework. How great. =.= I have been bombarded with a load of homework during my previous four days of school.. but, I'm sure the teachers and parents would be like, "since we end school earlier, there's more time to do homework right?". That's true but what a bummer. :(

It's been a hectic school week for me so there's nothing really interesting to share about today. Oooohh! I can think of only one. HAHA! I recently got a new cat, or strictly speaking a kitten. My dad had rescued this kitten before from a drain during a rain weeks ago. It kind of belonged to my neighbor for a while but the neighbor couldn't keep the kitten anymore, so the neighbor kindly asked if we would like to keep the kitten if not it will be a pity if it wasn't taken care of. So yeah. We got the kitten from the neighbor and it has been with us for 3 days.

The 3 days have been a challenging one for both my family and the kitten. The kitten, I assume, has been used to enter the house and it has always been scampering outside the kitchen wanting to be let in. Due to a strict no animals in the house rule, the kitten couldn't be kept inside the house. My domestic helper has been helping to keep an eye on the kitten so not to let it enter the house but it does get it's way in somehow and I always have to be the one to catch the kitten and carry the kitten outside. The kitten needs to learn the rule of not entering the house without permission.

I haven't been able to identify if the kitten's a male or a female. I can't seem to see any "male jewels" down there which can be presumably be identified as a female BUT there's a possibility that the kitten's "male jewels" is too small to be seen right? I haven't actually took a proper look down there because it's so hard to see as the kitten is VERY, VERY active. HAHA!! I shall do it one of these days. So, I can properly call the kitten a he or a she. Before that, the kitten shall be called "the kitten". HAHA!

The kitten has a nice ginger coat. I quite like the name Tigger for the kitten because the kitten is always so active and bouncy just like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh but the name's not fixed yet. I shall properly name it after the gender has been identified. :P The kitten likes to gnaw on my foot or hand if I'm carrying or cuddling the kitten. It hurts but daddy says it's only a kitten. Kitten likes to play. So, I don't really mind at all unless it really, really hurts. It's been a joy to have the kitten around. I do have cats before which weren't actually ours but it kind of just stayed around. One died of diarrhea (a kitten named MooMoo) and one got lost after a family vacation overseas (an adult cat called MiMi).

I prefer dogs over cats but I can't choose due to the current circumstances that I'm in which doesn't allow me to keep a dog as a pet. Cats are pretty good too so, the kitten is good for now. I would still like to have a dog as a pet in the time to come and when the situation allows. :)

Enjoying the kitty time,
Hannah

Everything will be okay in the end

Today is a very nice day, for me that is. :) It's been filled with fun and something memorable. I finally FINISHED my MIB presentation that I've been worrying about the past week. WOW! Was I ever relieved that it's over. I can finally put my mind at ease and sleep better during the night now. :P

Today, I have achieved another thing. After practicing through my lines for my presentation for a few times last night, it all paid off. I kind of told myself to not think about how others will look and judge me, and also told myself not to panic or get scared. I prayed a lot for my panic attack to not happen and that everything will go smoothly. Guess what? God totally answered my prayers! HAHA!! My presentation went really well, I was a little jittery at the start for a few seconds but all went well after that. I tried my best to speak with a loud and clear voice and also with confidence.

I just want to THANK MY TEAMMATES for helping me out through the whole thing, patiently explaining the things that I don't know and also for preparing the slides. Also, Thanks F for the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!! :D I got a nice grade for my presentation and some compliments from the teachers. I haven't really received any compliments about my work nowadays, so this was a nice pick-me-up. I'm glad that it's over and that I've gained more confidence in public speaking and also, in experience. (I guess my Malay wasn't as bad as I initially thought. So, the person who said that I sounded "karau" should err.. make it sound a little better)

The lessons from my different classes were interesting as well. For sociology, we started on a new topic yesterday, which was Religion. It sounds pretty interesting from the introduction itself. So, I'm hoping that it will stay as nice as it sounds. Also, for Accounting, we also started a new topic. It was a little crazy at first but all is good after I get the hang of it. (What's with all the new topics? HAHA) And, I won't talk about maths since I don't feel like it. That was one of the few downsides I had for the day. I really do hope I can keep up with all my studies.

Oh yeah, yesterday, my nom-nom buddy and I went out for a study date. More like a teaching date since she taught me some MIB things and help me go through my Malay for the presentation. Yeah, thanks N for correcting my horrible Malay. Thank you for being so ever patient with me! I LOVE YOU FOR THAT! :D We went to Cheezbox for tea because both of us were feeling hungry and then headed to Coffee Bean for the "study or teaching date" (whatever you want to call it). We planned for dinner at McD's but it rained heavily so it didn't work out. I promise you N, we'll go next time alright? :)

So, I'm quite happy for the many things that have happened for the past couple of days. For once, I feel happy and that everything fell into the right place. I'm just really grateful that my prayers had been answered.. if not for it, I don't know what would really happen. :)

Loving the moment,
Hannah

p.s. I just had to add the picture of the dream catcher because it's just so pretty. I want one ;)

MIB worries

It's only Tuesday today, the second day of the week, and I'm craving for the weekend already. What is this?! I guess school plays a really big part with me wanting the weekend to come faster. I think this has been a recurring topic. That's how much I love my weekend, my mini-holiday, my free time. I can't wait until this nightmare is over and I get to have a couple months off from studying. >:)

School lessons are fine with me these days. My maths teacher has finished the syllabus at an ultra-fast speed (not joking), I'm left with a topic or two for Accounting and a couple more topics for Sociology too. This SCARES me a lot. Why? Because it means that the whole A Level thing is going to end soon for me and I don't think I'm that ready for everything to end. For all these to come to a close, I would have to take the BIG EXAM which I so ever dread. I have always hated exams and tests, be it small or big, I detest them.

I'm really thankful to have this group of friends who are there for me in school and in my subject classes. They're a big help especially when I'm at a loss with some of my assignments and revisions. We help each other, lean onto one another for support, especially during the tests and exam season. I also have a few Malay friends whom I appreciate a lot. Being in a government school has been quite a challenge to me due to the main language being spoken and my Malay friends have gone all out, translating words and speeches and everything for me. Thanks so much you guys! <3

I'm very used to speak in English and Chinese and I'm absolutely no any good with Malay. Today, I was in the Students' Learning Centre (SLC) during my personal study period to discuss with my teammates for our MIB project. There's 4 in a group and I was the only girl and the only Chinese (not being racist here). I don't know the rest of the boys except for 1 who's in my Accounting class but we don't speak much at all. For the whole time, I had to translate myself whatever that they were talking about during the discussions and I didn't talk much. I felt kind of awkward because they're all boys and they're strangers to me. I was wondering what they felt at that time too.

I'm used to having a couple of my close Malay friends around and we joke that they're like my subtitles. The title being given because they translate a lot to me from Malay to English especially during assembly or official functions in school. I can understand around 70% of Malay but the rest is a disaster. I tried speaking Malay to my friends after the discussion and they're having LAUGHING AND GIGGLING FITS because of my broken and horrible Malay with many wrong terms and grammar used. What a great support system you are guys. =.= (HAHA!! I STILL LOVE YOU ALL) Well, I guess I would have to write out what I'm going to present and have me memorize it. Thanks N for promising to help me out with this. :D xx

Well, I plan to stay in Brunei for a long time and in order to live here successfully, I would have to really polish up my Malay skills. Another thing to add onto my bucket list. I must and will get my friends to help me with this. Oh, another thing that I'm worried about is that every time after a group finishes their presentation, the teacher judging the whole presentation will ask a person out of the entire group a question regarding about the topic that you were given to prepare. The thing is, my teammates told me that the chances of me being the one asked is very high like 90% because as I mentioned above that I'm the only girl and the only Chinese.

That is so very true after giving it much thoughts. Because if I were the teacher, why would I want to ask my teammates the "question" since they're already very knowledgable about the whole thing since it's their culture and everything. So, my teammates said the main target is very likely to be ME. How great! Now, I don't think I will be able to sleep in peace until after my presentation is done with. Hopefully if I'm really the "lucky one", they'll be able to help me out.

Oh well, that's another thing that I will prepare myself with. An upcoming battle this Thursday and I hope and pray that I'll be ready for anything that will come my way. Who knows that the 10% might happen and one of my teammates will get "lucky" eh? Nobody knows what's gonna happen. ;)

Sleepy Saturday

It's a sleepy Saturday for me. School was alright except for the part where the maths test screwed up everything. This is the very first time that when everybody came out of the maths classes with gloomy and worried faces, some smiling and laughing because they knew that they've made a mess out of the paper. Yeap.. it was that bad.

I'm so sleepy and tired today. Having a dinner gathering later at an aunt's house. Having an overseas family friend who's stopping by Brunei and visiting friends. Well, I don't know who that person is but hopefully, things won't get awkward or bad. Haha.. I'm kind of a socially awkward person, so I don't really like big gatherings.

Gonna just leave with a short post today, ending with another video. Remember how I posted up S.H.E's Ella's video in my previous post, today I'm going to post up another S.H.E. member's video. Selina. In my honest opinion, I think that she's a very strong woman considering all those trials and trauma that she has been through. This song will speak of what she wants to tell us. :) I love it!

Have fun listening,

Ready for the weekend

YAY!! Today is a Thursday which means it's the weekend! I LOVE WEEKENDS! Do you? Weekends means a lot to me. It's like a relaxing and social period for me. School isn't that hectic on Saturdays, I have YF on Saturday nights and then church afternoons on a Sunday. It's pretty good for me.. but the downside of that is all the homework that the teachers dump on us just because it's a weekend and we get Fridays and Sundays to do them. Yeah.. =.=

School went pretty well today. We had MIB lectures again after 1 month + of hiatus, which means all the presentations will continue and guess what? The teacher called out the names of those who are going to present their topics the next Thursday at the end of the lecture and my name was called. Great. I'm not that scared of public speaking or anything but it's just that, the whole thing is not going to be in English which I'm more confident of. This is it. This is going to be quite a challenge since I don't frequently speak Malay. I have only 1 week to practice and brush up my Malay skills. It would be really great if I could speak all the languages of the world. :D

Other than that, there's nothing big going on except for the upcoming P4 Math Test on Saturday. I have been doing past year questions and I don't think I'm any good to score a really good grade yet but it's much better than before, which I think is an improvement and an encouragement. Oh, and my sociology marks could have been higher is I had written more things in it but due to time constraints, I couldn't. Mr.S told me to work harder in improving writing within the time limit. Shall practice that before all turns bad again.

While at tuition just now, the junior boys sat with us at our usual table for the night. Not to eavesdrop but their conversations were hilarious. I giggled and laughed at their conversation. One even said that, "Tangled (the Disney animation movie) is the best love story ever!". And that came out from the mouth of a guy. Aww... I find it really cute and funny at the same time. It was quite a fun night instead of a grueling session of maths as I have envisioned it to be.

Overall, my day has been smooth sailing which I'm really grateful for. Sometimes, I just wonder, what other people's day might be like? Every minute, every hour, something can just happen. A child is born, a person has just died, you were informed of a devastating news or you received really good news, all of these. Have you ever wonder that before? While you're being so happy and enjoying the moment, some other people in a certain part of the world might be having a rough time. So, I think we should actually thank God for blessing us with such a wonderful day. :)

Blessings and Love,
Hannah
