As you can see, from my previous post, I'm lacking with self confidence and trust but I'm trying hard to be more positive. This reminds me of a song that speaks to me and is close to my heart. It is what I want to say and it is what God says to me.

I haven't have much time these days to come online much. It seems like a long time since I logged into Facebook, my e-mail and all. Wow. There's so many things to look into. Well, I'm just here for a short post to show that I'm still alive and that the exams haven't actually killed me just yet.
This week is a free week for me as I don't have any papers to sit for this week, however, the revisions are never ending. It seems like there's always so much to revise and to look through. Is it my lack of confidence or is it just me progressing a little too slow? I'm at the stage where I feel like giving up but I can't give up. Haha.. if that actually makes sense. Preparing for my papers is very tiring. Even when I sleep, I dream about my revisions, my teachers or my class. Then when I wake up, I felt like I haven't had any rest at all. These kind of dreams happen to me once in a while but those dreams have been occurring frequently these days, it's horrible.
Other than studying and preparing for exam, I'm just trying to live each day as productive as possible. Of course there will be some days which I cheat and that results in me regretting not being more productive and useful during the course of the day. Oh well, it's not like I can turn back the time or something. So, I remind myself to BE PRODUCTIVE every single day.

This week has been super hectic for me.I'm not sure about the others but I'm mentally and physically exhausted. It's been a full week of school, lessons and assignments. Oh the bore. So, nothing interesting or fun has happened to me this week. D-day is arriving soon, counting down fast by the days that seem to zoom by. I, for one, do not look forward to my finals and I'm not as ready as I think I should be.
Moving on. These days, I'm sure many of us have heard about this South Korean singer, Psy, whose song and music video, Oppa Gangnam Style. If you have not heard of it, I think you must have been living under a rock. I've heard this song much earlier on since it's initial release. It wasn't such a big hoo-ha then as it is now. From my honest opinion, this song is not bad and it's pretty catchy plus, I like Psy's music since years ago (YG Family for the win!) and songs from YG can't be any bad. <--- Okay, this is K-pop talk. Only a K-popper would understand.
However, since the song and the music video went viral on the internet and all recently, I feel that this song has been overplayed. Not that I don't like the song but I hear it ALL the time on the local radio stations and music channels on TV that it's been getting a little irritating for me. There's pros and cons about this though. The good thing is that Oppa Gangnam Style would expose many people to K-pop and K-pop would benefit from this really. One of the cons would be that, with so many people overplaying this song, it will slowly lose it's significance and make people feel indifferent about it.
So, for people who have yet to watch the Music Video of "Oppa Gangnam Style" or wants to watch it again, here it is.
I think that this music video is pretty interesting, taking a side which not many Korean artistes take. Psy is a unique individual in the Korean Music industry as well. Oppa Gangnam Style features Psy's famous "horse dance", just like SNSD's Gee having it's "crab dance".
Many of the people like this song however, there are some who can't seem to appreciate such music. Well, everybody has got different taste so no judging here as it's all based on personal preference. If you like this song, then good for you, if not, haters gonna hate.
Oppa Gangnam Style is getting really popular and crazy by the second that people ALL AROUND THE WORLD are making parodies of this video. Well, I don't think it's any bad to make a parody. There are really some interesting ones out there that I have seen. Well, this doesn't exclude Brunei. A group of young people in Brunei have actually made a parody of Oppa Gangnam Style. In my opinion, it's not bad. The parody showcases some Brunei flavours in it that I think is what that is appealing to others.
Without further ado, I present to you the Brunei's version of Oppa Gangnam Style, the "Oppa Brunei Style"!
Well, this "Oppa Brunei Style" has gain many viewers since it's release yesterday which I think is quite a feat. This parody has actually many positive reviews however, when there's an up, there will always be a down right? Well, you can't please everybody. Anyway, good job to the people in the video. You guys gave a great performance. A forward step in Bruneian entertainment perhaps? :)

It's the weekend now. Soon, I have to go back to school after a very short break after my mock exams. Am I ready? That's one of the question that many people ask me when they actually see me. Hmmm.. The answer to that is NO. I don't think I'm ever ready for exams, tests and all. I've still one more month to go before the BIG FINALS! Days are passing and finals sure is getting closer and closer.
I haven't been doing anything super productive this break. I'm taking it a little slow this week before I charge on for the rest of the days until my Finals are over. A Level kind of suck. It's one of the hardest thing ever that I've come across. I've juniors who come to me saying that they get what I mean now when I said it's very different from O Level and secondary school studies. Well, I'm relieved that all these will soon be over for me. Just 3 more months to go. I just have to press on for these 3 months. I must tell myself that I CAN DO THIS! :)
So, I have something to share again. These few days on my Facebook feed, I've seen quite a few people posting about a daddy-daughter duo. Out of curiosity, I went to check it out. Hey, it turns out that they're pretty good. They're Jorge and Alexa Narvaez. I LOVE THEIR VIDEOS! It's so heart-warming and it totally gives you the "AWWW" moment. When we posted our first family video on YouTube, I was just a father of two working my way through college. (Don't worry... mom still has a meaningful role in our daughters' lives.)
Within days of posting our breakthrough video on December 31, 2010, millions of people around the world saw Alexa give an inspired -- yet somewhat sleepy! -- rendition of one of her favorite songs as she clung onto the guitar that I was playing backwards and upside down.
Soon after, international superstars Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres invited this "father-daughter duo" to appear on their shows and, by the end of 2011, Time.com called us "why the internet was invented."

Oh wow. It's been long since I last posted something here. It's now school holiday for the students in Brunei right now. For me, it's supposedly to be a study break than a school holiday, however, I've been slacking quite some bit and I'm charged guilty for not studying hardcore enough. So far, what I've done for my revision has been just getting by. It's kind of hard for me because when I see other people around me having fun and the times of their lives during the holiday, the mood tends to sink into me and makes me feel so lazy. Fortunately, I have another week of holiday left to help me catch up on all my lost times I spent lazing around to revise and to study.
So, many things have happened during the course of my absence here. One of them for example is that the London 2012 Olympics has ended. Yup! It's been an eventful 3 weeks and also 3 weeks of not watching other TV channels except for the Olympics Sports channels. I enjoyed the whole thing of course. I woke up at 3.30 AM (due to time differences) this time to catch the closing ceremony. Oh boy, am I lucky not to have school in the morning since I'm on holiday already. The whole thing finished around 7 and I went back to bed and slept the whole morning until 12 PM. Haha! I was so exhausted after the whole thing. I can't wait for the Winter Olympics now that the Summer Olympics is over! :D
This time, the closing ceremony kind of fell a little short from what I expected it to be like. Maybe I've set a much higher expectations after the opening ceremony (thinking, saving the best for last!). The whole closing ceremony is like a concert FULL OF PEOPLE, only being held in the Olympics Stadium. Don't you think so? Only The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and Prince Harry graced the ceremony but, even so, I enjoyed watching the closing ceremony. I mean who gets to watch The Spice Girls, One Direction, Queen, Jessie J, Russell Brand and many other performers at 4 AM huh? I know a lot of people doesn't think much about One Direction, they talk bad about them and boycott their music but I hold neutral thoughts about them. I don't hate them nor am I a big fan of them. I like their music, it's pretty catchy. No hard feelings here. :)
Also, the SPICE GIRLS ARE BACK!! Woohoo! Some of you might be thinking, eh? This girl over here knows the Spice Girls? How old is she to even know them?! Well, let me tell you. I grew up with a group of relatives. Safer to say, my so-called "aunts" who's actually around my age. I was supposed to call them "ee-ee" (aunt in mandarin chinese) out of respect for the elders as us, the Chinese always place heavy emphasis on. But since we're all almost the same age, maybe a couple much more older, I skipped the honorifics since young. It's a bad habit I know and young kids should not imitate. Okay, back to the topic, my older aunts spent their teenage years watching MTV and we, the much younger kids, spent our free time watching MTV together with them, much to the displeasure of the parents and elders at home. My aunts taught us to sing songs from Backstreet Boys, the Spice Girls, S-Club 7 and more. Yeah, that's where I got all my knowledge of the 90's pop groups.
Anyways, Spice Girls were really AWESOME back there at the closing ceremony! I mean, who gets to still sing and perform together as a group since the group's break-up until their last performance together in 2008 and they still look the same! Oh boy, I was much more awake after their performance. I have always liked Victoria Beckham, the Posh Spice, because she's just so gorgeous and she looks amazing at the closing ceremony. You might say that I'm biased but her dress was fabulous! ;)
I spent my waking hours nowadays trying my best to focus and study but, I usually get bored of studying and get side-tracked. I'm scared and anxious for what is yet to come. No matter how much I study, I will always feel unprepared. I suffer minor nervous breakdowns during exams and it totally sucked BIG TIME! When I do get my nervous breakdowns, my mind goes entirely blank and it gets hard for me to breathe. I tend to shiver or shake a lot. Sometimes, I go all pale in the face and the teachers would be coming and asking if I was okay. That, I need to work on it. I need to overcome my exam fears. One more week to make up for it and that's it. Hopefully, all will go well in the end.

This post is a really late post. I've been wanting to write up a post but I just couldn't find the time. This week has been an eventful week.. the ups and the downs. The ups should definitely be remembered, whereas the downs should probably best be forgotten? I will write up a post about my week a little later, but for now, I want to write a little about the MOST HAPPENING EVENT now!
The quadrennial event is finally back again after the last one in Beijing, the 2008 Olympics. This current Olympic Games is currently held in London, Great Britain with it being the first ever city to host the Games for the 3rd time in history. I'm very excited for this Olympic Games because from what I can most remember, this 2012 London Olympics is the 2nd Olympics that I'm watching with the Beijing Olympics the 1st of course. The memory of me "actually" watching the 2004 Olympic Games in Athen is rather vague, hence, it's not counted. :P
With the Olympics being held in London this year, it disadvantages me because of the time difference. We definitely got the perks in 2008 by being in the same time zone as Beijing. The Games actually started on Friday, the 27th July but in my time, it was already Saturday, the 28th. I woke up at 3am, the earliest in my family just to watch the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games. Like, how can I even miss such a historic event right?! My parents came half and hour after me. The event only started at 3.50am however I didn't regret waking up that early because I wasn't that groggy anymore.
Oh, did I mention that I had school that day? In Brunei, most of the school runs from Monday to Thursday and Saturday being the last day of school for the week. I only had less than 3 hours of sleep. I was pretty hyper for the rest of the day mostly due to my lack of sleep. Back to the story, the opening ceremony was amazing! I quite like it. The performances were brilliant and I loved how the event was graced by many big shots especially how the royal family are in attendance. I love royal watching! Oh, the Queen also acted in a short skit with Daniel Craig. Rowan Atkinson made it back with Mr.Bean and also, JK Rowling was there too! Arctic Monkeys and Paul McCartney sang to close the opening ceremony. WOW! It was nice because I actually understood most of the whole thing, all thanks to my sociology lessons. While it was easy for me to take it all in, some found it hard because it's totally not our culture.
Of course, this opening ceremony was compared to it's predecessor, the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Some says the Beijing one was better and some says this London one is better. To me, they're both really good. I mean, a country has got to put in a lot of effort, sweat and blood in order to successfully pull off the entire thing. So, we've got to appreciate all these, that's in store and prepared for us. I enjoy the whole show, though I has to leave for school at 7am and did not really catch the ending but I caught the rerun and it was great! I love the lighting of the cauldron and how it was lighted by 7 youths. It was pretty innovative to come up with the 205 fire stands that come together as one. :)
I caught a lot of the events on television. How I wished that I was actually there and then to witness the competitions. This year, Brunei even sent over 3 athletes to participate in the Games, Anderson for swimming, Maziah and Hafiy for the tracks. It's all for the experience for them. I find it overwhelming when I see the champions get all teary when they see their country's flag being hoist up and hear their national anthem play. What a proud moment for them and their respective countries. :')
There's still more to come and I'm watching some of the events when I have the time. I'm rooting for many countries and for many athletes. They're all so good so I can't choose. :P I'm anticipating a glorious closing ceremony. Hopefully, all will go smoothly for the Games despite some scandals that has already made its way. All the best to the athletes!! :D

It's a sleepy Saturday for me. School was alright except for the part where the maths test screwed up everything. This is the very first time that when everybody came out of the maths classes with gloomy and worried faces, some smiling and laughing because they knew that they've made a mess out of the paper. Yeap.. it was that bad.
I'm so sleepy and tired today. Having a dinner gathering later at an aunt's house. Having an overseas family friend who's stopping by Brunei and visiting friends. Well, I don't know who that person is but hopefully, things won't get awkward or bad. Haha.. I'm kind of a socially awkward person, so I don't really like big gatherings.
Gonna just leave with a short post today, ending with another video. Remember how I posted up S.H.E's Ella's video in my previous post, today I'm going to post up another S.H.E. member's video. Selina. In my honest opinion, I think that she's a very strong woman considering all those trials and trauma that she has been through. This song will speak of what she wants to tell us. :) I love it!
How's your Friday so far? Mine has been great so far. I really just want to thank God for blessing me with the good days that I've been experiencing so far. It just really calms me down and help me get through all these chaos with ease. It's just wonderful!

Biography
It’s not everyday that you come across a national athlete who’s also an amazing singer-songwriter. Bubbly and outgoing, Maria Grace Koh – known as Eia – is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from the majestic country of Brunei. Born on October the 25th 1992, she started singing, dancing and playing the piano from the age of four. Since then she has performed in a wide variety of concerts and charity events, including a Showcase fronting her High School Orchestra for a visit from the British Royal Family!
One of Eia’s early dreams was to become an Olympic Athlete… Due to hard work, a unique talent and strong determination, she was honored to be a selected athlete to represent her country for Swimming at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. However, due to unfortunate events, the team did not proceed on and her dreams were crushed. Devastated, Eia turned to music – channeling her heartbreak and emotions into lyrics and melodies… And this is how her first song, “Hello World” was born.
Shortly after this, Eia discovered a passion for song writing – she started to write more and more music – innocent and emotionally very raw, the music portrays a young girl’s perspective on life, love, hopes and dreams. Her music has been likened to that of Sara Barielles and Taylor Swift, with a touch of Christina Perri and maybe even some traits of Adele – who have all influenced Eia alongside Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Michael Jackson. Most of her songs are born from the piano, so they naturally have a soothing and ballad-y feel to them.
Her vision has always been, and always will be, ‘to touch the hearts of people around the world with her music’. Writing is very much a therapeutic and healing process for herself, but Eia’s message is quickly reaching out to others who may be going through tough times, too – just knowing they’re not alone can make a huge difference.
Eia continues to grow and develop as an artist at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, where she met one of her amazing Producers, Joseph Curiale – who has worked with legends such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Santana, and Quincy Jones. This led her to recording some of her songs at the prestigious Karma Sound Studios, where she then met renown Producer, Artist Manager, and most recently the General Manager and Senior Vice President of the International Division of Sony BMG Masterworks, Chris Craker, with whom she is currently working on developing her music career.

Happy 4th of July to the people of the USA!! I know that I'm not American or what but hey, reading all those 4th of July tweets from many of the patriotic Americans makes me excited too. :) I'm halfway across the globe from America and I can already feel the hype. It makes me wonder how the celebration is really like out there? I only remember watching snippets of the 4th of July celebrations through watching the Gosselins or the Duggars or any other American realities that I watch. Yup, that's basically my channel to America since I never been there or anything.
Back here in Brunei, it's been rather hectic for me and most probably the other schooling students as well. I so envy my brother who is on his summer holiday now and is spending his oh-so-carefree days at home. I wish I'm having my holidays too. School's still the same for me. Tests, assignments and one more upcoming MIB presentation. I need to speak in Malay during my presentation and honestly speaking, my Malay speaking tool ain't the great. One person in school who once "overheard" me trying to speak in Malay said that it sounded "karau". (Karau means rough) Like it's not fluent at all. I'm so going to practice my Malay speaking skills and also, to brush up my Malay vocabulary. ><
Some of my test results are back and it's pretty good at the moment. I had sociology test this morning and I guess it went well? I have no idea how I did because I just wrote what I hope is relevant to the entire question and only Mr.S will know if what I wrote for my test is good or not. It's nerve-wrecking waiting for results like this. I have finished all my tests except for my upcoming maths test on Saturday and I'm so not looking forward to it. Maths is my weakest link and it sure is killing me slowly, giving me a slow and painful death. (Okay, that's a little too dramatic but I so somehow feel it in a sense. If you know what I mean.)
I ABSOLUTELY HATE MATHS! I'm pretty sure that the people around me knows that. I loved maths all the way up until Primary 6. When I hit Secondary 1, the numbers seems to be fooling around with the alphabets and voila, out came algebra. It was still acceptable though... until Secondary 4 where I did Additional Mathematics. I used to fail ALL THE TIME for my Add-maths but after doing the maths in A-Levels, geez.. what I was worrying about for my maths the past years were nothing. =.= I'm just not any good with maths and I don't think I ever will.. which means I got to work a whole lot harder in order to get good passing grades for it. Oh boy.
So, other than school, my life is a bore. I do try to spice up my life with other things but it doesn't really seems interesting at all. I can't wait until I have free time, then I can get my hands onto other stuff which I want to try and do. My free time now is pretty much used for mostly school-related work or books related. I do try to fit in a reading book somewhere if I'm not that busy for the day. It relaxes me :)
Oh, oh, oh!! Being such a big fan of K-pop, there's like so many comebacks of my favourite artistes. Hehe.. it makes me so happy although I haven't been keeping up with the latest news and everything but I do follow up on some latest music. Super Junior is one of them and this is so exciting! I have been a Super Junior fan (I'm an ELF!) for a few years and I'm still loving them. The dorky boys and their catchy songs. They recently released like their 6th Album and I quite like their new look and appearance. Loving their single and their MV. (There's quite a few scenes in there where you can take a peek at their chiseled bodies. I think they're rather flaunting their muscles instead of hiding it :P)
I have been a fan of the Korean entertainment since long, long time ago when mummy started watching all those Korean dramas donkey years ago and it sure is getting bigger and better! I remember a few years back when I was listening to K-pop and some people were criticising me for listening to those kind of music when they were listening to the latest English pops. (I do listen to all kind of music, trust me, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Italian, Opera, Classical...) Yeah, and now, they themselves are listening to those songs too and are becoming a fan of certain groups and all. I'm not that evil a person to criticise them back being a hypocrite. HAHA!!
I think I should stop here for the time being since I have to get back to hit the books. I think it's pretty wordy no? I will try to beautify the words with pictures though so no worries. I'm ending with a video so, scroll down a little further. ;)

It's been almost a week since I last posted anything here. It's not due to laziness this time but just that I can't find the right time to just sit down and type it all out. Today is a rather lazy Monday. No excitement, no enthusiasm. Just nothing at all. Walking and feeling through my day as a zombie. I think that I'm forever feeling sleepy no matter how much I have slept. Is that just me or what?
School went fine. New topic in Accounting which I currently find easy but as time passes, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take back all my words about this being rather easy. Positively sure! Had 1/3 part of Accounting Test on Saturday and I can say that it was pretty tough.. nobody whom I knew or asked got the figures or amounts balance. Right... a few more coming up and I don't see why I'm looking forward to it. I'm feeling that the first part of this week is going to be a little challenging for me and hopefully for the second half, it's all gonna be okay and relaxing. HAHA!!
The weather today is hot as usual.. or hotter? I don't know why that the weather in Brunei is like this all of a sudden. The sun is always out, minimum clouds, blazing and shining brightly, no rain, not much wind except for some times. I wonder if the Sun is getting closer to the Earth or is the Earth getting closer to the Sun? I bet the Earth is also sweating buckets while saying this. The weather is just unpredictable at times because after saying that the sun is out, the rain might fall the next second. It's like I jinxed it by saying it. Haha! Well, I'm not God who knows when the sun or rain will be out but for one thing that I'm sure is that I must be grateful for this weather while other places might be freezing cold. (I think I would like that... or not) :P

I'm thankful for those who have sent me small positive messages about me starting this blog. { you know who you are ;) } It's an encouragement for me as I have mentioned in my first post that I think this blog would be a useful way to let my family and friends know about some of the things that are going through right now, especially to those friends and family who are overseas and to those who haven't heard from me in a while. :)
Today in general has been very much a pleasant day. The weather for the day is sunny, bright and warm which is another thing to be thankful of. :)

There are times where it's hard to explain my feelings through words but the lyrics of this song would always speak for me especially when I'm feeling lost and down. I love the meaning of the song for it reminds me that God is and always will be there for me no matter what I'm going through. I'm proud to proclaim that my God is just ONE AMAZING GOD!! :')
Some of you might be surprised like, WHAT?! You know Chinese? You know how to read Chinese? Yup, I know how to read and speak in mandarin Chinese fluently. :) I'm a Chinese brought up into a family who speaks in many different languages and dialects however, Mandarin Chinese and English are my strongest speaking tool. :D

It has been raining since morning. What a lazy day to sleep in don't you think? Laying in the warm, comfy bed all snuggled up under the blanket with the soft pitter patter sound of the rain falling on the roof and the windows a picturesque view of rain droplets. Mmmm... this is bliss. :)
However, I did not spend my morning like that. Oh how I wish it was.. I spent my morning at tuition doing maths, maths and more maths. It's so much FUN...not. I had to do it because when school reopens after this holiday, it's back to the TEST period. YAY. I'm so excited and looking forward to it. =.= Enough with the sarcasm. HAHA!! I must work harder and study smarter.
When I came back home, I found myself sitting down in front of the laptop and listening to all those old school songs. Hehe.. (what a geek) I have always love those classic songs that my mum & dad used to play when we were little, especially during car rides where you just pop in a cassette tape into the player and you just sit quietly in the car, listening to the song with mum singing and dad humming along. Those were the times ;)
I think I look back into the past more often than I used to now. I have no idea why but it's not that bad. Thinking back to those happy, carefree times where we were young and wild and free. It brings back fond memories and the not so nice ones but all they always leave a smile on my face.
