My blog will be undergoing some changes in order to make the blog itself look nicer and also for the comfort of the readers. So, please don't mind those glitches too much. Hopefully, everything will be in tip-top order soon. Stay tune! :)

Many thanks,

Oh Happy Day~~

Today has been such a blessing! I feel so happy and blessed today. It's been filled with excitement and fun. It's just a really nice and pleasant day for me. I enjoyed a lot today. Not so much for the morning part but more so the afternoon session. :)

School was pretty much unusual today. Well, the only unusual thing was that there was a fire drill. That fire drill was unexpected, I mean like ain't all fire drills a surprise? I was walking back to our usual hangout spot after one of my class and I was like surprised to see smoke coming out from below our hangout place. So, I asked my friends if it was a fire drill. A couple of them tried to press the fire button thingymajigie but it won't work. HAHA! Oh man.. we were at our hangout spot for a little while then a teacher came up and shouted,"Go to the Assembly Point!". So yeah, we knew it was a fire drill then and swoosh, phones out to capture the moments.

The teacher-in-charge of the fire drill (the same one who called us) was annoyed by the indifference shown by the students especially by taking out their phones and started snapping away. Well, it was a new experience. I mean, I have done fire drills in my previous schools however, this is the first time in this college I'm in with so many students and school staffs around. However, it was a little depressing that the fire drill went over our lesson time and it so happen that I have my assessment test that very period. Oh boy, am I lucky. We still gotta do it anyway.

The assessment test for Accounting went relatively well however, for the maths class test, I bet the whole class did badly. We're so gonna face the teacher's wrath when we see him in our next class on Saturday. Why Saturday? Because tomorrow, all upper sixth classes are cancelled due to the "Studyrama". The "Studyrama" is like an education event which is said to help the upper sixths like us to help pave our way into the higher education. I'm pretty nervous and scared thinking about my future. How easy life will be without all these worries eh?

Moving on, I went out with 2 of my friends (they're practically like my older sisters! :D) for lunch. We had a korean lunch at Kimchi Restaurant. The three of us had ddeokbokki (korean spicy rice cakes), gimbap (rice rolls), japchae (sweet potato noodles), dol sot bibimbap (Stone bowl rice) and bulgogi (beef barbeque). It was so yummy!! HAHA!! I love korean food and it has been some time since I last ate it. We saw some aunties and uncles from church having lunch there too. They were in a group and it was a little shocking seeing so many of them there. It was unexpected you see.

After a hearty lunch, we went to Fleur-de-lys for dessert. We wanted to eat the patbingsu (korean shaved ice) from Kimchi but we didn't eat it in the end because it was like closing time for them. Man.. gotta go back there one day to eat the patbingsu. Anyways, we had an ice-cream macaroon, chocolate eclair, Nutella cupcake and mango cheesecake. The ice-cream macaroon was the best out of all. Hehe!! It was unanimously the favourite and the best among all of the sweet treats that we have ordered.

Went back to che Eia's house to chill for a bit after all the foods. She lent me a few of her books, mostly chick lit (Chick Lit FTW!). Hehe.. can't wait to get my hands on them... only when I'm free-er. We had fruit juice while at her house. Carrot + Orange + Ginger. What a combination. It tastes pretty okay but it's not my preference though. HAHA! It was my first time having ginger in a fruit juice. Something new today. Hehe.. after drinking it, you'll feel like you're a dragon because of the fiery aftertaste and it gives off hot vibes, like a very heaty feeling. It's like you can breathe fire.

Mummy blended green apple + celery juice again for me at home later in the evening after dinner. FRUIT JUICE OVERLOAD! I don't like celery but it tasted quite nice. HAHA! Well, I like fruit juice so I'm not complaining. Fresh and healthy, no sugar added, no additives and preservatives. I think the family is trying to eat healthier and live healthier now. :)

That's pretty much all the events for today. It's been a long day.

I'm feel so blessed today,
Hannah

p.s. Thanks PW for driving me around. :)

In the midst of the heat

It's been almost a week since I last posted anything here. It's not due to laziness this time but just that I can't find the right time to just sit down and type it all out. Today is a rather lazy Monday. No excitement, no enthusiasm. Just nothing at all. Walking and feeling through my day as a zombie. I think that I'm forever feeling sleepy no matter how much I have slept. Is that just me or what?

School went fine. New topic in Accounting which I currently find easy but as time passes, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to take back all my words about this being rather easy. Positively sure! Had 1/3 part of Accounting Test on Saturday and I can say that it was pretty tough.. nobody whom I knew or asked got the figures or amounts balance. Right... a few more coming up and I don't see why I'm looking forward to it. I'm feeling that the first part of this week is going to be a little challenging for me and hopefully for the second half, it's all gonna be okay and relaxing. HAHA!!

The weather today is hot as usual.. or hotter? I don't know why that the weather in Brunei is like this all of a sudden. The sun is always out, minimum clouds, blazing and shining brightly, no rain, not much wind except for some times. I wonder if the Sun is getting closer to the Earth or is the Earth getting closer to the Sun? I bet the Earth is also sweating buckets while saying this. The weather is just unpredictable at times because after saying that the sun is out, the rain might fall the next second. It's like I jinxed it by saying it. Haha! Well, I'm not God who knows when the sun or rain will be out but for one thing that I'm sure is that I must be grateful for this weather while other places might be freezing cold. (I think I would like that... or not) :P

I'm going to end this short post with a video. This video is just so sweet. She's beautiful, no more the tomboy image that we used to know. All grown up. :') Ella wrote this song about being thick-skinned, chasing after her own love.

With love,
Hannah

Holiday, how I miss thee...

School has only started 2 days ago and I'm already missing and yearning for more holidays to come.Is it just happening to me or am I just weird? During the semester break, I've seen some who posted statuses saying that "Holiday is so boring.." or even "I'm so bored during this holiday.. I miss school". Wow! I sometimes just wonder what did they spend their time on to make them say that.. Most of them who posted these are the younger ones. No worries, you'll learn to appreciate holidays more when you're much older. Trust me. ;)

I appreciate all the holidays. As a matter of fact, I LOVE HOLIDAYS!! It's like the best thing ever. I get to do and accomplish so many things that I wouldn't have been able to do during school days. Man.. I'm so dreading school right now.. Tests, homework, class assignments.. Oh gosh! A Level is really different from O Level or in secondary school. No doubt that in Brunei, we do half the subjects of what we have for O's which would be like doing 4 or 5 subjects in our A's, however, the workload is double of what you're going to get while in secondary school.

When my aunt told me those "words of wisdom" before I started my A Level, I thought she was actually just joking around or making me feel pressured or scared but it's no joke. Sometimes, there's just so many assignments to do that I'll only get a few hours of sleep just before going to school. For A Level in my school, we use the block system where we see our teachers every single day (except for English where it's just 4/5 lessons out of a school week) and they will just give and dump a wholesome of work unto us and expect us to submit whatever work that they have assigned to us the next day. This is really bad especially for Mathematics and Accounting. Hohoho... non-stop assignments and wall-banging moments. I kid you not.

Moving along from my rant, I had a spontaneous outing with my nom nom bestie. We went to have lunch and then off to Cheezbox to have some dessert while doing our homework. My nom nom bestie introduced me to her friend from another school. Yay! Made a new friend today. He's pretty funny. Haha!! Overall, I had fun today + school was a big help in boosting up my mood for the day as I had a rather light load of classes and assignments for today. :)

Oh, bums went back to Singapore today. Had a short outing with her yesterday for the last time before she leaves. We went to the Time Square area because going to Gadong is just overrated. We walked into Citis Square and voila, Gloria Jean's Coffee is finally opened in Brunei. They had a soft opening on Monday but yesterday was really the official working day. So, the two of us went to try it out. Not bad I would say. A few cents cheaper than Coffee Bean for some drinks. Not sure about the number of varieties but I would say that Gloria Jean's Coffee offers some food and beverages that other places won't offer. Something for a change. :) Coincidentally, Gloria Jean's Coffee Brunei was having their Ladies' Day (happens every Tuesday), so us ladies get 30% off. What a good deal eh? ;D

A good news for me too! My aunt just came back today from UK for her summer holiday. Weee~~ another outing buddy. Gifts and souvenirs I love! Haha!! It's been so long that I miss her so much! Great to have her back. Can't wait ;)

Missing my holiday,
Hannah

The King 2 Hearts

WARNING: A really boring and long post ahead. Unless you're very, very bored and have nothing else better to do, go ahead. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! It's a total fangirl moment!! :)

During the past few days, I spent my holiday watching dramas. Out of the few dramas that I've watched over those few days, this drama is the BEST among all that I've chosen to watch. :) Or maybe, it's the only Korean drama out of all the drama series that I've chosen to watch. I'm forever a Korean fan, fan of their culture, their food, their clothes, their vacation spots, their music, their people and many more.

I decided to watch The King 2 Hearts because of a dear friend of mine who keeps watching them in school. I took a peek and it looks good. So, I couldn't wait any longer and I made sure that during the holiday, I would watch it. It took me 3 days to finish the whole series. It was a good 3 days. :)

My favourite actresses, like Ha Jiwon and Lee Yoonji, acted in The King 2 Hearts. I have loved Ha Jiwon since her Hwang Jini days. I love how she can simply act out her character qualities so well. Happiness, sadness, cold, hatred, goofiness, joy and many more... she just brings them all out at the perfect time. Hwang Jini, Haeundae, Secret Garden.. just you name it. She just has this charm in her. ;)

I loved lee Yoonji since her Princess Hours days.. I love her character in Princess Hours because her character in there is so wise and charming, the life-saver of the day, the heroine in the drama. Plus, she's beautiful and has really long and nice pair of legs. HAHA!! (I'm no weirdo but it's just that her legs really attracts the attention.) She did well in Dream High too, so cute and feisty. Hehe.. when she was in WGM with Kangin, I watched every single episode of it. They're so cute!! I LOVE Super Junior, so Kangin + Yoonji = GOODNESS!! :D

I just totally love Ha Jiwon and Lee Yoonji!! I have been fangirl-ing them for many, many years, and I guess that there's just more years to come. :) I'm looking forward to their future projects. Impress me!! :D

I was okay with the rest of the cast. Now, I have another favourite actor after this drama. Lee Seunggi. I was okay with his acting since Brilliant Legacy and My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho however, in this The King 2 Hearts, he struck me. :) I liked him since the beginning as a singer, doing variety in 2Days1Night and talk show host in Strong Heart. Seunggi is just so cute!! He improved a lot in acting I think. An all-rounder - singer, entertainer, talk show host, actor, CF Model. What more? Hehe.. He's another one that I'm looking forward to. :)

Lee Seunggi and Ha Jiwon play the protagonists in The King 2 Hearts. Lee Seunggi plays Lee Jaeha who is a prince, later a king of South Korea and Ha Jiwon plays Kim Hangah, a North Korean officer. I won't go on and on about the whole story of the drama but I just love the unique story line of the drama that showcased the wonderful potential of the actors. Hehe.. I ship the Jaeha-Hangah loveline and the Shikyung-Jaeshin loveline. I think Jo Jungsuk who plays Shikyung is quite good looking. He's not bad an actor which is a plus (all maybe because he's a musical actor). :D

I liked how the drama depicts the tensions between North and South Korea. I'm not a Korean so I don't really know about the real issues of the Korean peninsula however, I do know that it's true, like in the drama, that if anything between the 2 countries go wrong, they might go into war. I'm for peace so I hope that nothing of this sort really ever happen in reality. Go unification team!! :)

I like the ending of the drama even if it's not the perfect fairy tale ending and the people still not accepting of the North-South relationship but it didn't really disappoint. I'm just upset about the death of Shikyung. Like why?!?! It's so sad.. because he died just when his relationship with the princess is going strong. Meh.. the scriptwriter is just such a mood-killer. Haha!! But all is well and I'm satisfied.

This post is just all my fangirl moments here. Haha!! Yeah, I'm just a strong supporter of this drama. The King 2 Hearts is just totally DAEBAK!! Great job to MBC for airing a couple of my favourite dramas one after the other. I watched Moon-Sun much earlier before and it was great as well. Hehe.. looking forward to other dramas. This will totally be up on the re-watch dramas in my list together with some others. :) (I always have a re-watch marathon in December where I re-watch all my favourite dramas and movies. Like Princess Hours, I've re-watched it 8 times, over the years of course since it was released when I first watched it in 2006. ;P )

End of my fangirl post ;)

The last taste of freedom

School reopens tomorrow with the start of the third school semester. Which means today is the very last day that I could actually enjoy my freedom because once school starts tomorrow, I'm going to have my privileges revoked. Well, actually I shouldn't complain since today is really, actually a public holiday in Brunei and that gives us students and extra day of our holiday out of our one week break.

I was planning to sleep in today because I don't think I'll ever get to do that when school reopens. Coming to think of it, I don't think I've ever slept in during this holiday because of tuition and other stuff. How sad is this. :( However, mum knocked loudly on my door to wake all of us up at 8+ to get ready for something, breakfast trip maybe but dad has to go to work. What a bummer! So now, I'm like sleepily awake.. might drift back off to sleep. :P

I'm really dreading the start of the third school semester. In a few more days, I'm having my first APR(Assessment Test) for Accounting.. it's going to be a 40 minute test instead of 1 hour. Nyeh.. it's going to be separated into 3 parts as always.. which gives us a week of break in between. So, not looking forward to my Maths P4 Mechanics Test in the next month and I have lost ALL of my confidence in Sociology. Great~~ Those AS absolutely did me no good. Instead of boosting my morale, it pulled me down.. real low. Oh boy..

I'm going to have to try even harder now to actually study and hope for the best. I haven't been doing the things that I once did before and I actually miss them but due to exam and revisions, I can't help it but push them aside. I can't wait for this nightmare to be over!!

So, I'm going off to enjoy my day now. Have a great holiday!! :)

Carpe Diem,
Hannah
